Coming Fall 2025: The Shape of Change
I’m pleased to introduce The Shape of Change, an illustrated young adult fantasy novel about coming of age in an age of change, and the risks we take for the people we love. Told in dual points of view, the story follows a science geek and a wanna-be artist who must stop a genocide after discovering their mentor duped them into using their talents to create the toxin. Along the way, characters grapple with corruption, family secrets, and awakenings of every kind.
The story takes place in a fantastical setting: a world made of living shapes, like a mosaic come alive, where life depends on healthy pieces—and shards can be engineered to kill. With themes of environmental justice and anti-fascism, the story casts a critical light on our past--and possible future.
